How the Clutch: Socialware Infographic

It starts with an idea, and a need to communicate that idea. Next, a conversation between client and designer. Brains are stormed, creative juices flow, and a sketch emerges. The idea is becoming tangible. Sometimes the sketch is a good enough visual representative of the idea that it can shared with the client for further discussion. Sometimes an additional level of refinement is needed, and the hand-drawn sketch serves as the guide for a digital mock-up of the idea. Things are still “sketchy” (in a good way) in that the concept and message are the focus at this stage. The details and visual style will come later once client and designer are in agreement that the overall approach is the right one.
