To celebrate the introduction of their “Better Than Good” BBQ Sauce Cookwell & Company invited their top partners and customers on a tour of some of the best barbeque joints in the Austin area. Did we drool on our desks while designing the guidebook for the tour? Yes, we did.

This is the first of our “Candy Dish” posts: our way of sharing some eye candy that we found interesting or inspirational. Earlier this week I purchased Transmit 4 FTP software from panic.com, and I was struck by the simplicity and elegance of their order confirmation screen. Check it out – it’s clean, simple and very nicely done. The typography is great, and I really like the receipt-y details of the content area. But I really appreciate the fact that it’s straightforward and instructive. There’s giving me only the information I need, and they’re not immediately trying to cross-sell/up-sell me. Instead, they seem to genuinely appreciate my $29.99.

Requisition forms, faxes, copies, certified mail, phone calls. What do these things have in common? They’re all part of the process of requesting medical records. Seems like their ought to be a better way, right? That’s what the folks at ChartSwap thought too, and that’s why they’ve created a secure online platform where provider can exchange records with third party requestors. Here’s a peak into the process and early iterations of creating their corporate identity.

Our friends at Cookwell & Company love good food, and they love having a good time. So, when they invited HEB supermarket chefs from all over Texas to visit Austin, they wanted to create a fun experience that would give their guests a better understanding of the Cookwell & Company brand – and Cookwell’s hometown. The “Ultimate Austin Scavenger Race” was a day-long contest between two teams of chefs. We had a great time designing the game cards, and the chefs had a great time exploring Austin.

This is what was parked outside the studio today. Perhaps they’re looking for a new agency and wanted to check us out?

To celebrate the first day of school (Really? Celebrate? Yeah, believe me – parents are celebrating.) we present some fun word problems we created as part of a Back to School campaign for our friends at Texadelphia. It’s like a school on Saturday…no class! (Apologies to Fat Albert.)

On behalf of the whole gang here at Clutch Creative, I’m proud to announce the launch of our brand-spanking-new website. For those of you keeping score at home, this is clutchcreative.com v4.0. The history buffs among you might be interested to know that clutchcreative.com v1.0 and v2.0 were designed and coded (in Dreamweaver MX, no less) by yours truly. M-to-the-X, baby! The 3.0 version of our website represented a huge leap forward as it featured actual CSS and a functional, but rudimentary CMS for editing content and adding work to the portfolio. But we’ve learned a lot about how to make the web work since then, and that brings us to the latest incarnation of our website. It’s built on WordPress and features some pretty cool bells and whistles including @font-face enabled CSS, jquery slideshows, an integrated blog and all kinds of Clutch goodness.
Zenoss makes unified network and server monitor solutions for enterprise-level datacenters. And today, they launched their new website designed by Clutch. Click on over to zenoss.com and check it out! The Zenoss site has some neat features, like content-rich mega menus, an audience-segmented content area on the homepage and an interactive overview of their solutions. As usual, the gang at Zenoss was a pleasure to work with, and their internal team did a great job integrating our design and code into their existing content management system. We’re pretty excited with how it turned out!

Breakthrough Austin is one of our oldest clients, and today we helped them launch their new website. Click on over to breakthroughaustin.org and check it out. For those unfamiliar with Breakthrough, they’re a non-profit organization that focuses on providing a path to college for low-income middle and high school students. They’re great folks doing great work, and we’re glad we’ve been able to help them over the years. We think the new website turned out great, and will be an important part of their communication platform.
